Another day!
Well another day and a day closer to Grampy getting better. The thearapist said that he was walking pretty well but that he has to use the walker for a couple of weeks before he can graduate to a cane. He wants to go to the baseball game next week so somehow we will get him there! Needless to say I have been busy playing nursemaid.
Breanne and Rob and Emeri came over last night and we had a belated birthday for Emeri. She had a big party on Sunday but of course we couldn't go. They brought pictures and she was pretty cute. I made chocolate cupcakes yesterday and wish you could have seen her devour hers. Will post a picture as soon as I can get my camera to download.
There was choclate from one end of her to the other and everywhere else. We took her from the highchair to the laundry tub!!!!!
Think I need to go and get new batteries. Will do it tomorrow.
Anyway, that's all for now and have to keep remembering it has only been 1 week since the surgery!

Here he is!
Here he is!!!!! Yesterday wasn't too bad as the he was still full of pain meds. Today wasn't as good. He was feeling the pain. They changed the pain medication tonight and he is feeling better. I know that the first three days are the worst so by Sunday he shoud feel abit better. They are sending him home from the hospital on Sunday.
They say it takes about 6 weeks. Today they got him up and he walked to the bathroom. Tomorrow they said he will walk more. The thearapist comes twice a day and he will have one come to the house when he comes home. Needless to say the downstairs bedroom and bath will be put to good use. Anyway he is doing fine and know he will walk better and be glad he did it when all is said and done. Just takes time!

just a busy time!
No pictures this time. It has been a busy week or two. Everything always happens at once. Last week was meetings and then Friday night David sent us an invitation to Mitt Romney's fund raiser event. We had our picture taken with him. Bill said he was really impressed with Mitt and especially when taking the picture he put me in the middle and Bill on one side and him on the other. I wasn't running he is and I was in the middle. How many people would do that?
Anyway it was fun and just don't know how anyone could vote for anyone else.
Saturday I spent the day at Chapman for Founders Day. It was fun seeing many people that come from a distance and that I hadn't seen in a few years. Sat. night we went to a St. Patricks' day party in Riverside at Dale and Jackie Smith's. We see the people at the party once a year and it is always great to catch up on what they have been doing etc. We have been going for about 30 years so it is really a tradition.
Bill goes into the hospital on Thursday for knee replacement so we are getting ready for that.
Emeri's birthday is Sunday and he insists that he will be able to go but we'll see. I know that he will recover quickly but that is abit quick!
Traci came by last night. Haven't seen her in quite a while. She was at Chapman auditioning for a part in a student film. She is busy playing extra's and auditioning and working and hoping for a good break. Traci is following her dream and it will happen!
Have an ORWF luncheon today so will be on my way. Will try to get some more pictures to put on my blog.

A chuckle for today
I tried to download some pictures but for some reason they would not download today so I am sending a St Patrick joke instead!
Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said,"Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whisky".
Miraculously, a parking place appeared.
Paddy looked up again and said, "Never mind, I found one".
Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and says to the first man he meets, "Do you want to go to heaven?"
The men said, "I do, Father".
The priest said, "Then stand over there against the wall".
The the priest asked the second man,Do you want to go to heaven?.
"Certainly, Father," was the man's reply.
"Then stand over there against the wall," said the priest
The Father Murphy walked up to O'Toole and said, "Do you want to go to heaven?"
O'Toole said, "No, I don't Father".
The priest said, "I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to heaven?"
O"Toole said, "Oh, when I die , yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now".
Kind of corny but maybe you will chuckle abit!!!!
