I know it is after Christmas but I found this old picture while sorting out others.
Going from left to right: Cashel, Traci, Leslie, Heather. Stephanie is Mary and Elliott
is Joseph. Sean is a king and Matthew is a shepherd along with Lincoln. Julianne is baby Jesus.
Heather and Leslie read the Christmas story. This year Annie and Jack were Joseph and Mary and Annie's doll was baby Jesus. Time passes quickly so it is important to make those good memories.

Breanne gave me this yesterday so thought I would blog it today .
Emeri is as cute as can be and Little Broxton is precious. He looks very much
like a Parker and Emeri looks alot like a Lukey. Love them both!

Remember when????? Julianne was baby Jesus.
Heather, Leslie, Traci and Cashel made angelic angels. Stephanie was Mary and
Elliott was Joseph. Matthew was the good shepherd watching Lincoln the little
shepherd. Sean made a handsome wiseman. Seems like yesterday but of course
I know it wasn't. These were special Christmas times and I have many good memories.

Busy Time

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming! There is so much to do and so little time. Need to start cards, decorate the tree, put up lights etc. Not this week! Will do the tree at the church tomorrow. Today there is a meeting this afternoon at 1:00 and an alumni board meeting at 5:30. This morning I need to go to the printers to get the programs printed for our Republican Woman fundraiser on Saturday. Tuesday I will go to the church to do the tree and decorations in the Fireside Room. Wednesday I go to Breanne's and help with the babies and leave there by 3:00 so I can get home for a haircut. Thursday I am back at the church to finish up so somewhere between all of this maybe I can get something done at home. Then Thurs night we have a party (not here) for a group of friends that worked for American Cement when Bill was VP. Friday seems pretty good and then Friday night we go to dinner and concert at Chapman. Saturday is our big fund raiser and I have decorated 4 trees to put into the raffle. Trees are only 3' high so they aren't very big but still alot of work! We will have 30 trees decorated and sponsored by various businesses and individuals. They donate 100.00 and put 100lights and 50.00 worth of ornaments on it and then 100.00 of gifts beneath the tree. We have a luncheon and fashion show and seat about 350-400 women. We also have a opportunity drawing of 1000. cash. These women spend lots for the trees and hope that their tickets are drawn for the trees they choose. We do well and make 12,000-15,000 thousand each year.
It is a big event and I will be soooooooo glad when it is over. I can't believe that I said I would be co-chairman again next year! Crazy!!!!! Oh well life never gets dull at least not for me.
Next week-can't wait!!!!!!!

Lately every day is a special day with something very special to celebrate. Today is Leslie and Neal's 9th wedding aniversary. They have many things to celebrate, their love for each other, 3 precious children, loving family and friends and much more.

CONGRATULATIONS Emeri has a new baby brother.
Broxton, born at 7:20 November 20. 6lbs 13 oz, 19" long.
We just got home from the hospital and got to see him right after delivery.
Breanne did well about 2 hours labor, and Rob now has his baby boy. Boxton has feathery dark brown hair and is as cute as can be.
We were so blessed to be able to be there. Number 22

Dedication Oct 3-4 2008

We just found out the date of the lobby and atrium dedication at Chapman University. So we can start planning. There will be a bunch of us! Grampy and I were counting so see if we got it right and if we have left someone out!

A cute little girl

A Picture of Pearl Rose age 3. She married Milo Dock Potter in 1901. Thought you might like to see the picture!

A Special little red car!

This was such a special red car. The young man driving it was and is pretty special too. He worked many hours to earn enough money to buy this car and was determined to get the one he wanted. He found this MG at Joe Thrall Motors and took his dad to see it. He had just enough money and laid it all out but asked his dad for .50 more. His dad said no and David had to break another dollar. Bill came home and told me about it and said that he was so proud of David for doing what he did and working so hard to get what he wanted that he didn't want to take away the feeling of having done it all himself-down to the last penny. At least that is the way the story was told to me. Wish he still had that special car.

Two little boys the same age with their broken arms. David's really was robin egg blue. The colored casts were brand new 50 years ago. I think he would have choosen the dinosaurs if they had been available. Two cute, brave little boys.

1946

Still doing old pictures. This is of Bill in 1946 when he was in the Army Air Corp before it was the US Air Force. He was stationed in Okinawa for 2 years. The war was officially over but there was still a lot of cleanup operations to be done. There were Japanese in the caves and sniper attacks were still going on. Bill was a crew chief on the first jet squadron in the South Pacific. He was pretty handsome don't you think?

3 liitle boys and very young parents! A long time ago even though it seems like yesterday. Where does the time go? Now all three are grandfathers. Gracious!!!!!

A long time ago. An exciting day, we made it all the way through and now on to his MA at UCLA and a move from the quonset hut to the barracks on campus at Westwood. David wa just 3 months old and Bob was 2.

A new car!

In going through old pictures I found this one of our new car! Where has the time gone? The cost of this brand new station wagon was $2300.
