Big day
Monday, June 23, 2008
Guess who came all the way from Co to visit? Heather and Cayden arrived on Friday the 20th and we have had such a good time. He is so cute and such a smart little boy. Of course he is our great grandson and all of them are very cute and very smart! He is only 14 months old but communicates quite well with his sign language (that his mommie and dad taught him). Things like please, thank you, all done, etc. They are leaving tomorrow morning and I will miss them. Matt, Annie, Jack and Max and Breanne, Rob, Emeri and Broxton all came for dinner last night. The kiddos had such fun playing with each other and I love the interaction with them all. Annie made good friends with Cayden and he just followed her and held her hand. This has been an exciting week with new baby Sadie and our visit with Heather and Cayden. Wonder what the rest of the wek has in store?????

STAR BABY WRAP
I went to a baby shower and one of the grandmothers there had made this star shape baby wrap. I think mine is prettier but did think it was a great idea. You can put your baby in it and then wrap it up and it will go into the car seat without having to uncover the baby to strap her in. What do you think? Is it worth making more?
We have 4 babies coming and I can make one for each if you think it is practical. Just let me know!
These are good for winter babies. Probably to war for summer ones????

This really is for Chelsey as these 3 young men are friends of hers that are on a road trip around the U S and they stopped here for a while before continuing on. This was Sunday night and we had tacos for dinner. Their sleeping acccomendations are on the deck and in the hammock. The weather has been great and so the nights are pleasant. Starting from the leftBen (who got sick on Friday and we fed him pepto bismol and chicken soup. He did feel better on Sat. ) Joe and Steve. The have went to the beach on Sat and yesterday (Sunday ) they just hung out here. Today the were off again to the beach. They arrived Thurs night and I am not really sure when they will take off again. Nice young men and we have enjopyed them. Anyway Chelsey this gives you some idea where they are.

1 more step to new garden!
Some of my
plants arrived yesterday. I am getting so excited and can't wait until it is all planted.
Chuck said that they would deliver some more today and
would plant on Friday. ThenI will have a pretty garden
again. In the meantime Bob is painting the wood on the porch and
I am going to do the little black desk and the window box.
Still have to get some flowers for the window box but
think I will just use geraniums. They see to do the best.
It should be done by the time Heather comes to visit next month!

Another Birthday

two birthdays today!

Have a wonderful and blessed day.
Wednesday, May 21, 2008
Well today was a big day. I had to say farewell to my lovely tree in the front yard. Its roots were going to crack our porch . The yard has become so hard to take care of that we hired a landscaper to come in and clean it out, replant it and do all of the things to soil that needed to be done to make the plants grow up healthy.
We saved some of the plants, in fact a pretty good percentage of them and he will replant them.
It will be nice when it is all done and I will post pictures when it is all planted.
It makes me so sad to see it right now because it has been so pretty.
It will be pretty again with plants that don't take so
much c are or water.
Bob's big blue truck is in the driveway.

Dan's new business
Dan's new line of drums.
They are made in Italy and he is the distributor in the US. His school seems to be doing well and he has new students all of the time. It takes time to get a new business started and he is moving right along. He has a website dparker@ciomit.com. You can go on line and read all about it. He still has his dparker@originalswab.com
they live in Castle Rock, Co. and Dawn and Chelsey are working with him in the business. It really is a family business.
