A singing Sunday

http://www.vimeo.com/clip:142320
Breanne and Rob were over Friday and Emeri was performing so I took a video. She and Max are just a month apart so it will be fun to see them together. Maybe the first Sunday in March they will all be here.
We went to a choir festival at the LACathederal last evening. Ed and Martha our friends wanted to go so we took them. He is our blind friend and Martha is handicapped so we try to take them places when they ask us. It was a long evening but the sounds were wonderful. The organ is spectacular and Frederick Swann performed and did a number that used the whole range of the instrument. Wow! The pipes from the nave are 85' high. The choirs were from all around So Ca and all sang at once. It was beautiful.
To day is busy as is everyday and the weeks go soooo fast. Weather is rainey today but should clear up this afternoon. Hope you all have a good week and that Elliott and Ginger won't be digging out of the snow today or this week!

Experiment!

http://www.vimeo.com/user:157259/clips
I am just experimenting to see if I can put a video on my blog. Elliott suggested I do it this way so if it works let me know. This is one that we took last Sunday when Matt and Katie were here and Jack with a squishy toy that he liked. Notice Annie in the background. She is in the playroom checking herself out in the mirror and fixing her hair. Max is singing but you can't see him.

Our Sunday dinner!

Sunday was the day for the kids to come to dinner. Matt and Katie, Annie, Jack and Max were here. Rob, Breanne and Emri didn't make it but will next time. We usually have dinner on the first Sunday of the month but Super Bowl interfered and we don't have a big TV so everyone stayed home to watch it on their own. We had a great time and I tried a new receipe on the them for chicken pot pie with a puff pastry crust. Think it turned out pretty good. Max loved it!
Milo's birthday is this week and I thought he was coming, too, but I think he forgot so we had birthday cake with candles anyway and all sang happy birthday to Milo and then Annie and Jack blew out all 21 candles (with a little help).

Elliott and Leslie updated my blog. What do you think? It is fun and not so formal. They did all of the hard work for me! Thanks!

GREAT SURPRISE!!!!!!!!

Posted by Picasa

This was my surprise today! Ginger made and sent to me this beautiful bracelet with all of my great grandchildren's shoes. She even had one for Heather's new little one that is due in late May. The birthstones are there! Thank you Ginger. All of my friends were very envious. I wore it to a group this afternoon and they oohed and awed. What a GREAT gift. I love it. Notice the little shoes- boys are different than the girls. All 20 are there and there is room for more. I can't say thank you enough- Maybe I can get some of my friends to order one- will work on it!

Monday already!

Leslie is making me a new blog page. I was going to do it but I am afraid to loose everything and she said that she would do it for me. It will be fun to have a new one.
Elliott's blog showed how cold it is in Indiana today. Freezing!!!!!!! Glad we live in California. Today it is supposed to be 75-80 sunny and warm. Dan is leaving for Wa on the 19th. Dawn is staying in NC and selling the house and then they will pack up and move to Silverdale, Wa. Dan has a job there. Go on google and check out Silverdale. It is really a pretty place on the Olympia Pennisula. They will be closer to us. Heather and Aaron will be in Colorado and I am not sure yet just where Cashel and James will be but it looks like they will be in Alabama. Chelsey will move with D and D and can go on to school probably in Seattle??? Not sure what she will do yet. Everything changes and nothing stays the same, except us-we are here to stay.! We just get older and maybe a bit wiser.
Will work in the yard this morning and then have a ladies group this afternoon. Need to take the car in for servicing so better get busy.
